Professional Experience

Education

I graduated from High school in 2017, from Bishop O’ Byrne high school in southwest Calgary, Alberta. I was a Diploma candidate of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, where my studies prepared me for university.

I began studying at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in September 2017, where I entered the Bachelor of Science program with a focus in Physics. with limited success, I transferred into the Bachelor of Arts program, with a focus in History. I entered the Bachelor of Education program in September of 2021, where I began my journey to becoming a certified classroom educator. I had never really considered teaching in the past, but observing my professors passionately deliver lectures and seminars, it made me believe this something I could do and want to do for our next generations.

Employment

My employment has allowed me to see various workplace settings and opportunities. With a diverse experience of employment, I have had plenty of opportunities to meet others and learn more about them, their backgrounds, and their ideas. This diversity in employment has allowed me to better understand others’ positions and backgrounds in life, becoming more perceptive to their needs in life, which may be reflected in their children in a classroom setting. This knowledge may assist me in being more perceptive to students needs based on their family’s needs or situation and to be more understanding of possible hindrances or considerations that may arise.
